Virasat-e-Bismillah is a Charitable Trust to preserve, promote and project the Shehnai instrument and music to every corner of the globe regardless of caste, color, or creed as done by Bharat Ratna Ustad Bismillah Khan

To spread, promote and provide education through music and for that purpose to open, find, establish, support, and maintain such a legacy of Ustad Bismillah Khan in various Schools, Colleges, and Institutions and to grant certificates, diplomas, and degrees of the Trust.

To engage as far as possible those who would like to be a part of this legacy in preserving the journey of Ustad which teaches brotherhood and peace through music.

To preserve the home of Ustad and open and create an additional tourism spot in the pious city of Varanasi from where Ustad belongs.

To glorify the richness of Indian Culture and promote it worldwide.

To arrange and conduct meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences for music and to provide opportunities for study and research in the subject primarily Shehnai.

To bring together scholars from around the globe and provide a forum for academic and social development.

To receive Indian or foreign volunteers with various skills to assist, help, aid, and participate and help fulfill the objectives of the Trust.

To take up any other activities which may be decided by the Board of Trustees from time to time, which are not against the objectives and basic principles of this Trust
